One of these days Im gonna invite people I know from around Copenhagen to come and join me for a traditional Danish x-mas “klippe-klistre-dag” for a few hours, just to decorate this fine x-mas tree that I have chosen to “occupy”. (Im not sure if we are allowed to do this, but I will ask Cph’s kommune tmrw).
Please bring coloured paper, (scissors although writing this suddenly scares the shit out of me), thermoses with tea/coffee, any christmassy cookies, or what ever else you find to be part of a real authentic Danish jule-hygge-day.
The only reason why I have chosen to take this initiative is to show Denmark that a lot of new-danes embrace X-mas. (But mostly also because I am just plain borred with sweet little Denmark).
As you can see I have put up a few pics (not that good as I asked this Danish lady who was really not very keen on taking some photos of me together with the tree, nor of talking to me) But I have made it a personal daily task to gently “force” Danes who are
a)afraid of me,
b)ignore me and pretend that I do not exist)
or c) people who just does not know how to act/talk etc. in front of a “new Dane” or know any “real new Danes” outside the negatively biased Danish media TO HAVE ACTUAL CONTACT WITH ME. AS I NEED IT AND NO LONGER CAN STAND THIS HOSTILITY IN MY OWN COUNTRY!! I AM HERE AND IM NOT LEAVING (JUST YET!!:))
